Cobalt Chloride details Product Details

Cobalt Chloride Properties Properties

Cobalt Chloride typically appears as red monoclinic crystals in its hydrated form (Cobalt Chloride Hexahydrate) and as a light blue powder in its anhydrous form. The hydrated form is highly hygroscopic and easily deliquescent, readily absorbing moisture from the air. The anhydrous form also exhibits strong moisture absorption and will gradually convert to the hydrated form upon exposure to humidity.

Cobalt Chloride Application Application

Used in producing barometrograph, gravimeter in instruments manufacturing industries, paint drier in coating industry, gas defense mask in national defence industry, sympathetic ink, cobalt chloride test paper, allochroic silicagel and nitrogen absorbent. Collocated the feedstuff in stockbreeding, and the material of medicament.

Cobalt Chloride Storage Storage

Store in a cool, ventilating place. Prevent package from breaking and deliquescing

Cobalt Chloride Packing Packing

25kg net, Paper/PE complex bags with double PE inners.

Cobalt Chloride FAQ Cobalt Chloride FAQ

Will cobalt chloride cake during storage?

Fairsky’s Cobalt Chloride is supplied as violet-red crystalline solids. Under proper storage conditions—dry, cool, and well-ventilated—it remains free-flowing and does not cake.
Slight caking may only occur under unfavorable conditions, such as prolonged exposure to high humidity.

How should caking of cobalt chloride be handled?

If minor caking occurs due to moisture exposure, the product can be easily restored to a free-flowing state with light mechanical pressure. The chemical quality and performance of the product will not be affected.

Do you supply anhydrous cobalt chloride?

Yes, we do. Fairsky supplies high-purity Anhydrous Cobalt Chloride with a typical cobalt content of approximately 42%, suitable for various industrial and chemical applications.
