Fluozirconic Acid FAQ Fluozirconic Acid FAQ

In which industry is Fluorozirconic Acid mainly used?

FAIRSKY Fluorozirconic Acid is widely applied in the metal surface treatment industry. The next largest fields are electronic information, glass and ceramics, and chemical catalysts. These four industries collectively account for over 90% of its total usage, covering various downstream scenarios such as automobiles, electronics, machinery, and construction.

What is the role of fluorozirconic acid in the metal surface treatment industry (such as passivation, phosphating)?

Core function: Forms a dense zirconium-based conversion film (passivation film), replacing the traditional phosphating process. It has the dual functions of corrosion prevention and enhancing the adhesion of the coating, and is a core raw material for green environmental-friendly surface treatment.

How should it be stored to prevent deterioration and leakage?

1.    Sealing protection (anti-leakage, anti-humidification): The solution is stored in corrosion-resistant containers (made of PP or PTFE, avoiding metal containers), the sealing cap is tightly screwed on, and the outer layer can be wrapped with waterproof cling film to prevent moisture from entering and solution leakage; solid fluorozirconic acid needs to be encapsulated in a sealed bag to avoid contact with air and absorption of moisture.

2.    Shading storage: It should be stored in a cool, ventilated, and sunless warehouse to avoid accelerated decomposition due to light exposure (fluorozirconic acid may accelerate hydrolysis or decomposition upon exposure to strong light, resulting in loss of active ingredients and solution deterioration).

3.    Low-temperature control: The storage temperature should be controlled within 15-25. Avoid high temperatures (exceeding 30 may cause decomposition and volatilization of fluorozirconic acid, increasing the risk of leakage). Do not place near heat sources (such as heaters, boilers).
